A new attack against security corporations shook Friday night in Culiacán, Sinaloa. A Traffic Police Element was the victim of an ambush perpetrated by an armed group on Pedro Infante Boulevard, very close to the offices of the State Services Unit (USE). The victim was identified as David Villegas, the corporation's shift manager, who had eleven years of service and was on his way to join his work at the time of the attack. Sinaloa, the Most Dangerous State for Police The Secretariat of Public Security and Municipal Traffic (SSPyTM) regretted the attack against agent Villegas. With the murder of David Villegas, the number of local police officers shot in Sinaloa during this year rises to 45. This number places the entity as the state with the maximum number of local police officers murdered throughout the Republic, underlining the high risk faced by security personnel in the region.
