In Lashio town, a woman was shot with a gun.

In Lashio town in northern Shan state, under military junta control again, a woman was shot with a gun and seriously injured, a resident told Shwe Phee Myay.

On the evening of November 25 around 6 PM, near the car parking zone on Lashio - Thinni Union highway, a woman riding a motorcycle was shot.

"As far as I know, it was not a robbery. It was just shooting like this. The gun was fired four times. They held it steady. Seems like targeting. There are many gunmen in Lashio now," said a Lashio resident familiar with the incident to Shwe Phee Myay.

The woman who was shot is a real estate dealer, and so far, nobody has been arrested for the shooting, he added.

Residents say in Lashio town, now under military junta control, motorcycle thefts, car hijackings, and knife fights frequently occur.

On October 13, near the Lowell market in Lashio township 7, a car was hijacked after a knife fight.

Due to China's intervention, the places on Lashio city controlled by the MNDAA were transferred to the military council last April.
