Tharsi police station was attacked by gunfire, and four police officers were killed.

In the attack on Tharsi police station in Monywa town, Sagaing Region, four police officers were reported dead according to two fighting groups involved, confirmed last night.

On November 17, about 100 meters near Monywa prison, Tharsi police station was attacked with gunfire, according to a responsible person from Rocket Fighter.

The Rocket Fighter official said, 'Four were seen dead. They shot from close range. We couldn't retreat easily.'

Due to heavy retaliation from the Tharsi police station side, they had to withdraw after receiving support fire from Monywa prison, the Rocket Fighter official added.

A responsible person from the Chinland Spring Revolution Army (CSRAF) said, 'There was no harm to civilians. Four police officers died. They retaliated by firing but mostly with shrapnel.'

This operation was jointly carried out by the Chinland Spring Revolution Army (CSRAF), Rocket Fighter group, Nyaung-U District troop (3), Bo Kyargyi group (P0), Buddha Soldier Union, Urban Guerrilla group, and local militia groups.
