A councilor from the City Council of Cuautepec de Hinojosa, Hidalgo, was recorded while handling a firearm and launching a direct threat against the municipal president, Jorge Hernández Araus. In the viralized recording on networks, the municipal official, identified as Benito Sánchez Pérez, pronounces the phrase: "What awaits the Araus," which immediately generated alarm among inhabitants and users of social networks, due to the context of political confrontation that is lived in the municipality. So far, the municipal authority has not issued an official position on the content of the video.
