Immediately following the discovery of heavy weaponry rounds landing on the Thai side, the Rajamnu Task Force fired warning shots according to the rules of engagement, reaffirming their readiness to prioritize the safety of the public.

Today (22 November 2025), the Army Operations Center received a report from the Rajamnu Task Force, Naresuan Task Force, about a clash between Myanmar soldiers and anti-government groups in Myawaddy District, Myanmar, on the border with Thailand. This situation has affected the border area of Tak Province.

During fighting on the neighboring side at 11:00 a.m., an unknown type of heavy weaponry round was detected crossing the border and falling on Thai soil near plot number 41, village 4, Ban Mae Gorne Gen, Mahawan Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. This is the residence of Mrs. Thongkam Nual-ai. The incident caused minor damage to private property, including a car and house, but no injuries or fatalities were reported after initial investigations.

To uphold sovereignty and protect the lives and property of Thai citizens, the Rajamnu Task Force immediately responded with warning shots using a single 120mm grenade launcher round at 11:05 a.m. aimed at an open area between the conflicting sides in Myanmar, signaling caution to avoid further border violations.

The Army affirms that border defense forces are closely monitoring the situation 24/7 and are prepared to respond immediately to any sovereignty breaches or harm to Thai citizens. Citizens in border areas can trust in the capability and readiness of military officials to ensure their safety fully.
