Five cadres and two supporters of the Communist Party of IndiaMaoist (CPI-Maoist) were arrested with explosives in Bijapur District in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on November 23, reports The Week. The five ultras were arrested from the forest near Kandka and Jabeli villages under the Naimed Police Station limits when the 210th Battalion of CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), an elite unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was conducting an anti-Maoist operation on November 21. The five cadres were identified as Kamlu Oyam (33), Laxman Ursa (30), Lekam Aytu (34), Lachhu Oyam (39), and Pandru Ursa (31). A Police official said that a tiffin bomb, cordex wire, and other materials were seized from them.
