Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar District area, India on Thu 20th November 2025
20th November 2025
On November 20, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Srinagar District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) took custody of three doctors—Muzammil Ganaie, Adeel Rather and Shaheena Saeed—and religious preacher Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay, who were earlier arrested by J&K Police in connection with the November 10 Red Fort car blast that killed 15 people, reports Daily Excelsior. An NIA spokesperson said the accused played key roles in the attack. With these arrests, the number of persons held by NIA has risen to six, including earlier arrests of Amir Rashid Ali and Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish. Investigations (INVs) revealed that the blast was part of a “white-collar” Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module operating across J&K, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Leads from posters pasted in Srinagar directed the Police to Al Falah University in Faridabad District of Haryana, where 2,900kg of explosives were seized. The case began after CCTV footage identified suspects linked to Shopian-based preacher Wagay.
