IED event in Chhattisgarh, Uspari, Bijapur District area, India on Thu 20th November 2025
20th November 2025
On November 20, Security Force (SF) personnel and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) detected and safely destroyed a powerful 10-kilogram Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) on the Chihka-Uspari Road in the Uspari village under Bhairamgarh Police Station limits in the Bijapur District in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh, reports SocialNews.XYZ. Following Standard Operating Procedures, the SF team immediately cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough search. Within minutes, they located a steel tiffin box buried beneath the surface that contained a command-initiated IED weighing approximately 10-kilogram, packed with explosives and connected to an electric detonator circuit designed to be triggered remotely. The Bijapur BDDS team was rushed to the spot and, exercising utmost caution, successfully defused and destroyed the IED through a controlled explosion at the site itself.
