On November 20, two Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-backed terrorists were injured in an encounter near the Chahar Toll Plaza on the Delhi-Amritsar National Highway in Ludhiana District of Punjab, reports The Tribune. Two Chinese grenades, five pistols and 50 live cartridges were recovered. The duo, seriously injured in retaliatory firing, was shifted to Civil Hospital in Ludhiana. Investigations revealed that the Police had laid a trap following inputs linked to earlier arrests by the Bihar and Haryana Police. The arrested men are planning strikes at strategic locations in Punjab.
