On November 15, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) Amritsar, with Counter Intelligence (CI) Pathankot, busted a gangster module and arrested three operatives, identified as linked to Armenia-based wanted gangster Raja Haruwal, reports The Tribune. Arrestees — Yusuf Masih alias MP, Samuel Masih alias Ankit/Anki, and Sahibjeet Singh alias Sabhi, all residents of Batala in Gurdaspur District of Punjab — were found with two .30-bore pistols, two magazines and 15 live rounds. A Maruti Swift car used for criminal activities was also impounded. Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said the trio acted on Haruwal’s directions and were involved in weapon–money exchanges and reconnaissance for extortion.
