On 31 May, 2019, Global Coalition warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting oil smugglers ferries between Shiheil and Boqruss in southern Deir-ez-Zor countryside while QSD detonated several others using IEDs. Neither fatalities nor injuries were reported.
