On June 5th, a Turkish airstrike injured 3 Iraqi Kurdish villagers, who are members of the Kurdish peshmerga forces in northern Iraq. The airstrikes were thought to have been targeting PKK militants in the village of Merga Rash in Sidakan/Soran area of Erbil province, but instead hit Iraqi civilians - one of the injured villagers lost their leg in the airstrike.
