On June 11 2019, 6 Afghan soldiers were killed and 8 were wounded by a US airstrike in the Ismail Qishlaq area of Imam Sahib district, Kunduz. A joint US and Afghan forces clashed with another group by Afghan forces by mistake and requested air support which led to the fatalities.
