On 11 July, 2019, Syrian and Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on Khan Shaykun in southern Idleb countryside targeting a Syrian Civil Defence Center established in a cave in east of Khan Shaykun city, severely destroying its building, damaging its equipment, and damaging four vehicles (an ambulance, a fire truck, and two service cars), as a result, the center went out of service. Neither fatalities nor injuries were reported.
