On 11 July 2019, Turkish Forces conducted airstrikes in Adilbeg (Kurdish name) area of Avasin-Baysan (Mergasur district) in northern Iraq, killing or injuring 5 PKK militants. HPG later confirmed that 4 PKK militants were killed in the airstrikes in Avasin region.
