On 22 July 2019, regime and Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on a market and residential areas in Ma'arrat An Nu'man in Idleb, impacting Al Salam Hospital supported by Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) in al Sharqi neighborhood, partially damaging the hospital's equipment, and furniture, along with Women Now for Development Center, damaging the center's building and furniture, in conjunction with the dropping of barrel bombs by regime helicopters. Airstrikes resulted in the killing 40 people, including 3 children, 3 women, 5 member of the Syrian Civil Defence, and 2 unidentified gunmen, and the wounding of more than 100 others. 40 fatalities.
