On 19 April 2021, in Hpakant town (Hpakant Township, Mohnyin District, Kachin State), the Hpakant Myoma ward-based Myanmar military indiscriminately fired artillery shells. A 60 mm mortar fell at a nearby village called Swut Ngai Yang. Casualties unknown.
