On 18 April 2021, unknown militants detonated a TNT charge on the road side targeting a vehicle driven by a Peshmerga militant in the Koji Harji area of Sidakan town in Erbil province. The militant was injured. It remains unknown if the TNT detonation was a targeted attack or the detonation of an explosive remnant of war, according to the reporting.
