On 17 April 2021, Israeli warplanes targeted with at least three missiles a site of a Palestinian armed group [presumably Hamas Movement] west of Rafah City, destroying the site and wounding two Palestinians. It is unclear whether the wounded Palestinians were affiliated with Hamas. Civilians homes were also damaged in the attack. The attack came in retaliation to rockets launched from Gaza into Israel on 15 and 16 April. Throughout the airstrikes, a Hamas weapons manufacturing site, a weapon smuggling tunnel and a military post were struck.
