On 22 April 2021, IS militants conducted a double-tap road side explosive attack targeting Iraqi Police at the Al Jizani intersection on the Abu Saida road, Diyala province. The first blast killed a civilian. The second blast killed 2 policemen and 1 civilian. 4 unspecified persons were injured in either the first or second blast.
