On 21 April 2021, at least 2 civilians were killed and 2 were wounded when a bomb exploded in a house in the Baghlan-e-Jadeed district, Baghlan. One of the victims was former mayor central Baghlan (Baghlan-e Markazi) district, Khwaja Baba, other was the sister of an MP. It's unclear who planted the bomb.
