On 16 April 2021, an unidentified rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel and landed in an open area within the Eshkol Regional Council. Coded at Magen (Ashqelon). No injuries occurred. This was the second rocket launched from the Gaza Strip within 24 hours. Sirens were triggered in surrounding communities.
