On 10 April 2021, four Dozo militiamen were killed and four wounded while trying to dismantle an IED on the road between the villages of Marebougou (Djenne, Mopti) and Megou (Mopti, Mopti). The device was likely planted by Katiba Macina (JNIM) militants.
