On 4 April 2021, in Bago town (Bago township, Bago District, Bago Region), unknown assailants with a motorcycle threw handmade bombs at a military-owned Mytel company office and the Myanmar military outpost at the southern end of Shwe Mawdaw Pagoda. Casualties not reported.
