On 7 April 2021, a remote controlled IED by an unknown group detonated, targeting a government police convoy (Haram cad unit) near Xeyle-Bariise factory neighborhood in Mogadishu - Yaqshid district (Yaqshid, Banadir). At least two police officers were killed while three others, including one civilian bystander, were injured by the blast.
