On 24 April 2021, an IED planted by an unidentified armed group near Kherba in As-Sweida detonated targeting the vehicle of a commander in the 5th Assault Corps' 8th Brigade. The target is a former opposition commander who had accepted the reconciliation agreement with the regime. Neither fatalities nor injuries were reported.
