On 25 April 2021, unidentified militants targeted the car of the former security director of Al Buraiqeh district with an IED in front of Al Qasr hotel, located just south of Aden - Al Hiswah, as he was going from Al Shaab to Al Mansura. There were no fatalities nor injuries.
