On 26 April 2021, suspected CPI-Maoist cadres used landmines to blow up about a metre of railway track on the Howrah-Mumbai main line, between Sonua and Lotapahar stations under Chakradharpur (West Singhbhum, Jharkhand), in support of a 'Bharat Bandh' called by the CPI-Maoist party, in agitation against recent deaths of rebels during clashes with security forces. No casualties reported.
