Fazl Rahim Meskinyar, spokesperson for the Parwan Provincial Police Command, announced that police forces in the province have discovered and seized a large depot of weapons and ammunition during an intelligence-based operation in the Lolanji area of Surkh Parsa district.

According to him, the depot contained 14 different types of weapons, including PK machine guns, DShK heavy machine guns, Krinkovs, Kalashnikovs, Kelekovs, M4 rifles, M40 and M49 rifles, pistols, and grenade launchers. Additionally, authorities recovered 16 hand grenades, 44 magazines, 5 boxes of American-made PK ammunition, 35 rounds of grenade launcher ammo, 12 rocket rounds, and hundreds of various other rounds of ammunition.
