Around 28 April 2021, one Turkish soldier was killed and 2 others were injured in a rocket attack targeting a Turkish army position in 'Claw-Lightning and Claw-Thunderbolt' operation area. One of the wounded soldiers also died later in the hospital on 30 April. Martyr Bedran Gundikemo Vengeance Unit later claimed the responsibility of the attack, reporting that it occurred near Sheladiz town of Duhok. Though the group also claimed 3 soldiers were killed in the attack, this was not confirmed.
