On 27 April 2021, an IED by Al Shabaab militants detonated, targeting a government security forces (SNA) convoy on the road between Baidoa and Daynuunay, near Danbalka village (Baydhaba, Bay). Three soldiers were killed, and two others were injured in the explosion.
