On 7 May 2021, unidentified militants lobbed a grenade targeting CRPF and police personnel at Srinagar city (J&K). Five CRPF personnel, one police personnel and a civilian were injured in the attack. After the attack rioters pelted stones at security forces who responded with firing in the air.
