On 5 May 2021, an explosive device exploded at an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps base in Nikshahr County (Sistan and Baluchestan). No fatalities were reported. A group calling itself the Anonymous Sarmachars of Baluchestan claimed responsibility for the attack.
