On 4 May 2021, in Thaton town (Thaton Township, Thaton district, Mon State), a bomb exploded in Myomya Market in the evening. Another explosion occurred in a canal west of a high school. The roof of the market, as well as four shops, were reportedly damaged. No casualties reported.
