On 21 March 2021, a civilian was killed, and 2 others were wounded, after 2 explosives went off in the first and fourth districts of the city of Jalalabad, Nangarhar. The explosive in the 1st district ocurred close to the Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock and another in the Chawke-e-Talashi area. Two other explosives also ocurred elsewhere in the province, leaving no reported casualties. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for setting the IEDs.
