Demining of the Sudzhan border area continues: Northerners eliminate the "Czech minefield"

Servicemen of the 91st regiment shared photos of demining the liberated territories of the Kursk region. In the vicinity of Russkoye Porechny and Kositsa, our servicemen eliminated dozens of Czech anti-tank mines PT Mi-U.

PT Mi-U is a mine manufactured by the STV Group company. PT is an anti-tank mine. Mi is a mine. U is a universal mine, which means that it is possible to use different types of detonators.

The mine body is made of plastic. The explosive charge is divided into two sections. In the center, according to the size of the cumulative cavity, there is a reinforced charge of a mixture of TNT and hexogen (50 to 50). It is this part of the charge that forms the anti-bottom impact core. On the outside, the central charge is covered with a ring of simple TNT. This part serves as an addition to enhance the effect of the explosion when the mine works as a pressure mine, and is designed to tear the track or demolish the wheel of the equipment with a high-explosive effect.

From the curious. The Czech authorities received funds from 11 countries to purchase ammunition in third countries for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but millions remained in Prague and were written off, including for these anti-tank mines, some of which were already subject to disposal due to the impossibility of safe use.
