On 22 January 2021, in the rural area of Saravena municipality, Arauca department, unidentified individuals activated an explosive device near an oil pipeline in the Miramar village. The device caused severe damages to the structure. There is a presence of several armed groups in this area. No fatalities or injuries reported.
