On 22 January 2021, unknown militants targeted a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition with a roadside IED on near the Sabbah Oilfield, Basrah province. No information about injuries or fatalities.
