On 19 January 2021, a policeman was killed and 2 wounded while 12 civilians were also wounded in an unidentified IED planted in a motorcycle hit a vehicle of the highway police near Ghazi Amanullah Khan square, Tarinkot city, Urozgan province. 2 police and 5 civilians were wounded in the blast. Not clear if it was a suicide attack.
