On 18 January 2021, a landmine, previously planted by an unidentified armed group in a weapons shop on al-Jalaa Street in the city of Idleb, detonated while being dismantled by the shop owner. The explosion killed the shop owner and 2 Islamist fighters of Dutch and Uzbek nationalities. 4 other Islamist fighters and civilians were wounded. 3 fatalities.
