On 15 March 2021, Russian warplanes conducted about 80 airstrikes near Ithariyah and Rahjan towns in Hama countryside, Maadan desert in Ar-Raqqa countryside, Bishri Mountain - Deir-ez-Zor range, Tadmor and Sokhneh deserts in Homs countryside targeting IS positions. The airstrikes killed 13 IS fighters in these locations. Fatalities split as follows; Ithariyah 3, Rahjan 2, Maadan 2, Bishri Mountain 2, Tadmor 2, Sokhneh 2.
