On 13 March 2021, Shiite militant group Ashab al Kahf detonated a roadside explosive device targeting a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition on the near a poultry farm on the Baghdad road within Qadissiya province. Only material damages occurred. Coded as provincial capital Diwaniya city.
