On 18 March 2021, unknown militants detonated a roadside explosive device targeting a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition on the near the Technical institute in Nahiyat as Saqlawiyah, Anbar province. No damages occurred.
