Federal authorities arrest four and confiscate more than 160 million pesos in drugs
Elements of the armed forces secured drugs, weapons and explosives in operations carried out in different parts of Sinaloa 

CULIACÁN. Derived from various operations carried out in different parts of the state, the federal authorities carried out confiscations of weapons, tactical equipment and drugs with an estimated value of more than 160 million pesos.

According to information, in a search carried out in the municipality of Culiacán, derived from intelligence work, elements of the Mexican Army in coordination with the State Prosecutor's Office secured 350 liters of liquid methamphetamine, six kilos of solid methamphetamine, five long weapons, 150 useful cartridges and four tactical vests. The estimated value of the drug seized amounts to 99 million pesos.

At another point in the municipality, in the village of La Cofradía, the Mexican Army located and confiscated 280 kilos of marijuana, with a value calculated at 974,951 pesos.

Meanwhile, in the village of La Noria, elements of the Navy Secretariat (Semar) arrested two people in possession of a wide arsenal: four long weapons, 1,879 cartridges, 23 chargers, 116 doses of marijuana, four ballistic vests, eight ballistic plates, 24 improvised explosive devices, three vehicles (two with a robbery report and one armored one) and 52 punchallantas.

Also, in another intervention inside Culiacán, the Mexican Army arrested two people and secured four long weapons, as well as chargers, cartridges and a vehicle.

In the fight against the production and trafficking of drugs, military forces identified and secured an area of concentration of narcotic drugs in several villages in the municipality: Plan de Oriente, San José, El Varejonal, El Vizcaíno, Los Vasitos, La Mora and Juan Aldama. Eight areas used for methamphetamine processing were dismantled at these sites, where 43 kilos of methamphetamine were secured, an organic synthesis reactor and 3,040 litres of chemicals, with an estimated value of 66 million pesos.

In the municipality of Elota, Army personnel secured a machine gun, two long weapons, a grenade launcher, as well as five grenade grenade grenades and two hand grenades.

Finally, in the village of El Pujido, in the municipality of San Ignacio, elements of the National Guard and the Mexican Army secured two long weapons, two chargers and 52 useful cartridges.

These operations were carried out from 6 to 8 June in the state of Sinaloa, in coordination with federal and state authorities.
