On 13 February 2021, 4 policemen including a senior officer were killed, 7 wounded, and one school and several houses were destroyed in a Taliban suicide car bomb attack on a police base in Kogak area of Arghandab district, Kandahar province. The suicide bomber was coded as a separate fatality. VoJ reported that 48 security personnel were killed and 7 APC were destroyed in the attack. Fatalities coded as 5 (VoJ reported 48 fatalities).
