On 13 February 2021, Malay Muslim Separatists detonated an IED on a bridge in Konae Nuea village, Moo 6, tambon Tanyong Mat (Ra-ngae district, Narathiwat), targeting rangers traveling on a pick-up truck. The explosion wounded 2 ranger volunteers.
