On 15 February 2021, an IED planted by an unidentified armed group detonated against a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition in Al Yusufiyah (Baghdad), which resulted in wounding an Iraqi military officer who was escorting the convoy.
