On 18 February 2021, unknown militants detonated a roadside explosive device damaging an Iraqi Army vehicle near Qaryat Adhbah, Ninewa province. The vehicle was escorting seismological teams from the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. No injuries or fatalities occurred.
