On 11 March 2021, unknown militants detonated a roadside explosive device targeting a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition on a road within eastern Fallujah district, Anbar province. One civilian bystander and a policeman were injured. One convoy vehicle was damaged. International Resistance claimed responsibility. Iraqi intelligence suspects members of the Iraqi security forces at the Al-Mowadhafin checkpoint may have colluded with the attackers.
