On 10 March 2021, an IED by Al Shabaab militants detonated, targeting a vehicle carrying a high-level official of Yaqshid district at the Guleed hotel in Mogadishu - Yaqshid district (Yaqshid, Banadir). At least one person was killed in the explosion, while three others were injured.
